HEB Bastrop #582 Expansion and Remodel

30,000 sq. ft. expansion to a 90,000 sq. ft. existing building

The existing store was 90,000 square foot. CBI did a 30,000 sq. ft. expansion, bringing the total square footage after completion to 120,000 sq. ft.. This is our most similar experience to a ground-up with HEB considering how much of the project was new construction. This proved to be especially challenging considering that we had to erect a water-proof temporary wall to keep the inside of the open store free of water and dust from the expansion under construction. Additionally, during the construction of the expansion, we were busy on a full wall-to-wall remodel in the interior of the store. This included a full reconfiguration of the store which included moving the Bakery, Deli, Pharmacy, Admin Offices, and the Floral Department, among other things.
